Hi marko

The website is nearly finished! Hana told me that just yesterday… I guess serverspace hasn’t been bought yet nor was something arranged with jelk?!

Archive:
Situation hasn’t changed very much. We suggested in croatia, to select and fill the data each year during the INCM. No summer assembly-scann-workshop anymore as there’s not really a need for that (unfortunately we run out of stuff to scan, anyway!).
But it would be great to have some space during a nc-meeting in Ireland to discuss the website, blog and logo. Would that be possible, dear organisers? this discussion will be held on the blog as well, I guess, but here the circle is small and it fades away fast. However, I believe in the efficiency of face-to-face conversations… (Especially the logo could be controversial- it’s already skipped on the irish site- which is a really great webpage btw.)
happy monday to everyone!

It seems that the Revolution is well and truly underway... (Careful now, that has always been a fully loaded word) Judging by whats going on in the US these days, its seems that the eco-revolution has truly taken off with a Bang... From this years upcoming USGBC GREEN BUILD EXPO to "George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Robert F Kennedy Jnr, and Al Gore, and the call for A NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION" Which was the front cover of Vanity Fair's recent GREEN Issue In it (or possibly another edition, not sure, as don't read the mag myself) there is the following 6 page interview with Bill McDonough: Industrial Revolution,...

We just got news from our Dept. of Foreign Affairs that they will grant free visas to our guests to attend easa008! not only will this be of financial benefit to our guests but the accompanying support of the Dept. will be very useful should any problems arise. they will send us an official letter which we will scan and issue to all of our guests to add to their application documents. they will obviously inform the embassies/consulates directly too. once we receive this letter we will begin to issue our letters of invitation, along with any other important information regarding...

yes, you are right. I double checked every information available on the net about these issues and it resulted to me that our embassy is in Athens. Can you please give me a hint about what visa category it's better to apply for ? At this step of the processing, this would be the most important information. thanks, Klejdi* :-) PS. I used the name of the character of a wonderful book "Odin Modvalsen" when I signed up and have no chance to set it to my real name...

No, there is not an Irish embassy in Skopje. The one for the Macedonian citizens is in Bratislava, so we're going to send our documents there. I think you should ask in your ministry of foreign affairs in which country's Irish embassy you should apply for visa, I think it's not just any country.. Cheers :)
by nevenka_mkd @ 2008-05-10 17:53

Hello, I think we're neighbors down here...do you have any irish embassy in skopje ? Tirana doesn't have one and to get the visa one has to apply at the closest irish embassy - I think..I mean, people here apply through the Irish Emb. in Athens - Greece. An embassy in Skopje would be a really good reason to make a 3-day trip back in Macedonia, as I often visit there. Where do you get your visas from ? cheers

This was right on time! I guess the procedure stays the same, but it is moneyless :) hehe www.mfa.gov.mk How so very convenient, I bet the organizing team pulled some strings for this.. ;)

just saw on rte today... "Plan to make Dublin city centre car-free" www.rte.ie "A plan that would close off large sections of Dublin city centre to all private traffic is being considered. The plan envisages 350 extra buses, with services running at 10 minute intervals off-peak and three minute intervals at peak times. The closure could be implemented in April 2009. Participatory Urban Design & the Future of Alternative Communities. > Mechanisms of communication to truly democratise our world. KRAX really rocked, only got there for a few bits of the encuentro, but what i saw, heard, met, learned was very very inspiring. There is so much going on globally, so much we know about, but so much we dont. Simple clear open effective mechanisms of commmunication, both in terms of mechanisms but also as physical systems/ groups / networks allow us to get deeper into whats going on... KRAX is one such mechanism...this was its second year of open gathering, it will...

But if you wish you can also sleep under the stars.. :) Usually we sleep on scaffolding, which means bring your sleeping bag and preferable an inflatable mattress. Hope you find the info useful, see you in August. sasa.

The office where im working at the moment is looking for an architect, my boss asked me if i had any connections with youngs architects from abroad...so i thought it might interest some easa people! Its quite an uncommon office as we deal the most of the time with projects from others architects, we are specialized in the facades, so imagine Zaha Hadid is calling us to make the facade of her new building !!(and not only her haha)and we work as well as a typical architecture office. The team is awesome, you learn a lot, you are really in charge...

Hi Kotryna, Skype should be possible, but it's a lot of hassle when anything that needs to be said can be done via email Ronan
by ronan_mc @ 2008-04-30 13:53

Thx Conor!
by sasa. @ 2008-04-30 09:48

can I reach any of the organizers by skype? It's quite urgent ;-)

Apologies for lack of clarity but we have been dealing with this on a case by case basis up until now. The guest policy for EASA 008 is; We will provide an evening meal for guest for e10. We will not provide accommodation or transport for guests of EASA008. As we are not accommmodating guests ourselves how many and how long is not so important. However, all NCs should notify us of guests details; ie. how long, how many, do they want evening meal, etc in the next month. There is plenty accommodation in Letterfrack(which is tiny by the way); [Old Monestary Hostel ]Price e20-25...
