Hello everyone!!!
As always Georgia Has VISA PROBLEMS!!! there is no irish embassy in Georgia. So can u exactly help me to find out where from have i to make visa, the easiest way. Thank u beforehand. Anuka dzintars, Monday, 14. April 2008, 19:51
they wrote in here that Consulate For Georgia is in Moskow,ie.embassyinformation.com may be you can call there(moskow) and ask about Georgia. but im not from irish team so better wait an answer from them. good luck! alper_tr, Monday, 14. April 2008, 22:12
as far as i remember, your country had diplomatic problems with Russia and you cannot easily handle those issues last years. i dont know current situations but i had talked to the new NC of Kosovo who told me the same problem of him. also lots of other balkanian and eastern european could have the same problem. if you guys have to go to a 3rd country, we can organize a pivo - visa sesam here in türkiye in next months. irish consulate is not stamping visas here in istanbul but they are accepting applications and sending them to ankara. maybe could be faster to go to ankara together for one day, its 6 hrs from here.visa fee is 60 Euros and its definitely very expensive... that is too sad that i cannot make it to ireland. cheers. Alper ana_geo, Tuesday, 15. April 2008, 10:05
Yes I called Irish embassy in moscow and they refused because of our above mentioned diplomatic problems.I was talled that I can make it in sofia. And Alper if I make visa from istanbul shall I have to arrive or I can send documents by mail? so sad That u aren't coming, but there is big chance that Georgia will be lost country this year((( irish_sean, Tuesday, 15. I just received this answer (below) from the visa office about issues/problems in dealing with Moscow....Georgia, Armenia and Belarus usually apply there.hope this helps, hope to see you in Ireland!!! seán ---------- "Thank you for your enquiry. Armenia and Georgian citizens can apply to the Irish consulate in Sofia, Bulgaria. Belarus must apply to Moscow. Algeria can apply direct to Dublin, Iran must apply to Tehran and Peru apply to Lima. All the contact details for these can be found at the following link: www.dfa.ie Thank you for your cooperation. Visa Section, Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2" serghei_md, Tuesday, 15. April 2008, 17:50
Moldova also has some visa questions.Last year to recieve the irish visa we had to go to Romania to Bucharest, but now we also need visa to get to Romania, so I asked Sean about this, and he answered that now we need to apply directly to the visa office in Dublin, I think by post of course: Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service Visa Office 13/14 Burgh Quay Dublin 2 Ireland maybe, somehow you could make it by post too!? ana_geo, Tuesday, 15. first of all Thank u all for support!!!so we have to make visa in Sofia and I wonder on what kind of visa shall I have to apply? Conference, Training or just Holiday visa. vera87, Sunday, 20. April 2008, 23:12
Irish guys...need visa too! Am a Macedonian citizen...but here in UK, u know that. Is Ireland part of the Schengen zone? When do u think you are going to be sorting this our...cause kind of stuck on this island, and if getting the Irish visa, which will be easy as its part of this summer 'camp' lets say, i could travel other places too...:)hihiCOuld you help xmxxx Vera alper_tr, Monday, 28. check if you are able to stay in Ireland less than 3 month as being a UK resident at MFA site of Ireland. Being a resident at a western country can sometimes makes you able to visit a third country without a tourist visa. For instance, a Turkish citizen who is a resident in Germany can visit Switzerland for less than 3 months.p.s. Ireland is not in Schengen Zone. sarhat, Sunday, 27. April 2008, 17:54
we alraedy contacted to irish embassy in bulgria. moscow was quite easier for armenian team. we'll see in which way wil get the visa. as alwasy with big problems and huge paper work.alper_tr, Monday, 28. April 2008, 17:49
we can also arrange that in Turkey, if you have to fly over for stamping visa, Turkey is more easily accessible for you. You are always welcomed here.alper_tr, Monday, 28. April 2008, 17:57
One more thing i wanted to ask Irish guys was the free visa issue. Do you have any plan about getting visas for free? That went great last years that we saved a lot of money. Visa fee is 60 Euros per person only for Ireland. When you add 400 Euros flight tickets, it makes a lot of money. Even i am not attending this year, i am still concerned about these things... That would be great for all visa needed guys if you could arrange it.irish_sean, Tuesday, 29. April 2008, 02:46
hi alper,i'm currently working on this but there are no guarantees that my efforts will bear fruit. we are keenly aware that the visa fee is a sizeable cost and we will make every effort to secure free visas. lets just hope our foreign affaires ministery sees sense ;) regards, seán alper_tr, Tuesday, 29.
