Hope everyone is keeping well.

there will be several options at easa, this poll is to see whether cheap or 'free' options are interesting enough to participants or whether paying 50 euro for a day of pursuits is a possibility for a group

easa olympics is looking well popular, its tying presently at 22 votes with pony trekking, i think...not sure how many of ye know about the old irish olypics of sorts, Tailtean Games:
"The Tailteann Games were an ancient sporting event held in Ireland in honor of Queen Tailte. They ran from 1829BC to 1180AD when they died out after the Norman invasion.
A sporting festival bearing the same name was held by the Gaelic Athletic Association in Croke Park in 1924, 1928, and 1932 and was open to all people of Irish birth or ancestry.
A modern athletics meet of the same name is held every year under the auspices of the Athletics Association of Ireland, and is organised as an inter-provincial competition."

back in 99, en route overland ireland to india, myself and the bauld Rusty O'Riain were in the 1896? modern olympic stadium in Athens, so of course we had to have a 100m sprint, i won, then a few weeks later in the greek island of Lesbos (yes the home of many lesbians...) we had a swimming competition, rusty won....
from there our own olympics grew and grew:
long distance stone throwing turkey, accuracy stone throwing iran, tibetan buddhist bell ringing dharmasala, india (exile home of dalai lama and the amazing refugees from tibet, who have the most pleasent and funny laugh...)
i think we got up to about 26, i am slightly ahead. first one to die looses what will be THE ULTIMATE EVENT...
games are great fun, especially silly games in which you make a fool of yourself, laugh unreservadly, forge deeper connections with friends, and normally get you a bit fit...
on saturday, a load of us were crashing out on a beach near Barcelona for the night and we had the "Alta Fulla olympics", in which there were 11 countries: germany, brazil, venezuala, canada, argentina, peru, panama, france, el salvador, mexico, ireland.
and we got through the following events:
DAY 1
1 - throwing.
without a javelin, a hammer, or a shot, we used a sleeping bag in its sack. untill it broke, we then used a 5 litre bottle filled with about 2 pints of sea water.
it got people into the mood
2 - running.
from our zone on the beach to the fence near the trees and back, panama were cheating outrageously, not that it mattered too much.
3 - rolling.
from our "line", where bottles and bags were thrown previous, people lay on sand and rolled into the sea. again panama were being bold.
4 - breathing.
when in the sea, everyone took a breath and went under the water, mexico won.
5 - towers.
GE and BR - vs - PA and IRE
the first game of co-operation, 2 teams formed. GE + BR won, and there were complaints to the judges from BR about non sportsmanlike conduct from IRE, again lack of coherent rules was to blame. (like local pool rules at home, im sure ye will learn all about that in the frack, when ye meet the locals....)
DAY 2
6 - awakening.
simply the first to wake up after the session the night before
7 - XIBECA
the first to have a sup and COMPARTIR (share) the first bottle of exceellent local BCN beer. El Salvador won all games on day 2, quite a legendry performance really.
