Ireland top of the charts
I found a story relating to living conditions in the mighty Ireland. (readers of environmental graffiti or indeed digg.com may well have spotted it all ready).

It's totally (mildly) inappropriate for the blog (the name is in the link)... so here it is:

www.environmentalgraffiti.com

I thought it might be nice if we blogged any stories we stumble upon related to Ireland in the few weeks running up to the event. A way of adding a bit of colour to our understanding of the place, while also satiating my desire to get there I suppose. (22 days)

This time more straight up:

bustler.net

And yes I am just getting these from rss feeds of news aggregators- the information world is eating itself.

hi chris and all

firstly language, accent, slang and the full meaning of things....

tough, even for us Irish to understand each other

check out "A Right Funny Man Darcy"

a fair few intro ideas given here on EASA blog earlier in year to wet your appetite:
happy new (pagan) year 2008 from Irelands soul......A Right Funny Man Darcy
easa.antville.org

for more check out my YOUTUBE fuspey ireland channel:
www.youtube.com

from which comes a classic bit of local commentry on a rival town GAA football final, a bit of a response to your Manchester commentry some time back:

Vintage Eddie Moroney Commentary

and in response to your poll and sex in ireland...

see Dublin lad "Jason Byrne in Edinburgh" giving lots of insigths to the irish attitude

actually Ireland was rumoured to be have a very open attitude to sex and things natural in pre famine times, due to pagan ideas never fully being lost..

TG4 (irish speaking channel) brought out a documentary some years about all this:
The Land Of Sex And Sinners

"The Land of Sex & Sinners is a 2 x 1 hour series which
explores the uneven sexual progress of the Celtic nation
of Ireland with fascinating and sometimes shocking
revelations. The documentary examines the sexual history
of a nation, once notorious for possessing the most
carefree attitude to sexuality in Christendom, the
ensuing growth of sexual Puritanism, and the quiet
revolution that subverted it."

enjoy, see you sun 10th august for physical meeting, wandering, pint supping...
