A ramble in two parts

Part one.

Archinet, now there's a waste of a couple of hours. And because it's educational (sometimes only in the broadest sense) it neither; feels like a real break, nor is it particularly productive. Any hoo, today my rss has flagged up two stories whose headlines sent me back thinking about the workshop I took part in, in Budapest.

'Outside the big box'archinect.com

and'Brand building'archinect.com

Realising this will probably be the death throws of a conversation about 'outside the box' leads me to...

Part two.

I'd like to make a plea on behalf of my final University project... I really need good quality photos of both the finished box in location, and photos of the group working in our dynamic way.

I would also really appreciate any good pictures of Tuzracter (please forgive the spelling) or any of the other student type places that were reused old industrial buildings. Because being a student I have done something very similar and nothing mainstream really fits as good description and I am too poor to even fly back to BCN to take the final pictures of the site I am working on let alone Budapest... starting to ramble, so will stop now.

After all this architecture reading I deserve a break, so it's time for a cup of tea and a penguin biscuit.

I hope all of our Hungarian easians are fine but still expressing motivated opinion about the political and/or riot situation today. It's horrible, things like that should not be happening in an European country...

news.bbc.co.uk

hello lovely easans!came back home to istanbul yesterday, after a long journey : Sziget festival, one more week in budapest (sponsored by Ron & Judit), and one crazy week in Sarajevo!

i've been to Kassa, our sleeping-partying ship once more and u wont fuckin believe what i saw! Owners of Kassa changed its name as "Debrecen" and they are planning to use the ship as a public space with cultural activities in it. So i've been to this champagne-bottle-throwing name-changing-ceremony with the organizers and the old crew and captains who worked there years ago. We were in the middle of danube with tousands of people and the local media watching the event!
.the favourite scaffolding-sleeping place?.the coolest bar in budapest? the all-night-partying deck?
more pictures on flicker soon!

gunes/tr, (soundscape_ws)
