great picture I didn't knowTillie is in south maracco until the month's end. Conor you should have some news from there. I went back to some post written from BLG INCM, thank for all of you who gave some feeling about 04. Either good or bad the only thing is to know what you all think. Something I want to reply, is a feeling I had during the meeting, and maybe something I shared with Anton a year before... every year a new place, new theme, new organisors, we all start from scratch... and there are two categories of people. Thoses who participate, thoses who organise. This difference is too sharp in my eyes...but this red line is create by the two parties... The communication between those 2 categories should have been better last summer it's a fact... But something I regret is the way some participants consumed the place and all the services provide by the organising team... we had this strange feeling to be at your service with the tight obligation to solve anykind of slight problem in the minut. As you have well noted no frenchies came in BLG, pitty, but I think is proof of a disappointement. I have often heard by wittnesses, people from la CP, or some other passerby friends that the all EASA were looking like a teenage summer camps, and were a bit disapointed by some attitudes.... Well of course the ones who will read those words will maybe not understand, because not felt conderned. we have tried to make the best EASA ever. The bigger point was to make it within the city, and that was the bigger difficulty to approach, if it failed, it's maybe because we put the level was too high... But once again the line should be crossed, and if, in the future, we will have some disappointements about any meeting organisation, it should concerned all of us... Something else: I agree with conor when he said that easa should be more official; more seen by outisde commentor, and maybe the international viewer. As I said before the press i met during EASA could make the relation between what I was telling them and they could see. Regarding the workshops my satifaction is quite high... we acheive great works, The material organisation was messy, true... I have been under many fire... I wasn't free to decide many things in La CP, Yes I've asked to have a general visit of the building, the architect and the boss weren't really warm for it.... Remenber when I have been asked to desmonted the ribbon in the square. etc.... Yes many bad souvenirs could came back in my mind but.... you have to imagine all the fight I had with the city, with the 4 La CP bosses, with the landlords of the building, etc.... A month before the meeting was about to be canceled.... I don’t know if some of you remenber, in turkyie2001 we were 2 from France, I tough to organise a summer meeting 3 year ahead in the frame of the european capital of culture to save the easa france, you can’t imagine the work have done for this. I spent a year and half after my diploma to organise the meeting without earning much money , and now the result is here...: France is back on stage and kicking.... Dave will make good job I think... Well, as you noticed I'm back and open to talk about it, cheers kingkooldave, Tuesday, 11. January 2005, 13:25
yo jerome, you're a great dude, what ever the french think about it!!! now that I 'm trying to run easa_france, I start to understand how hard it is to get people involve properly! by the way, i wish a wonderfull year 2005 to all of the easa people! see you soon, all of you!!!!!!!!! dave edhansel, Saturday, 4.
