Accommodation in Dublin.
Hello all mighty organisers and others, a question about accommodation in Dublin.

Me and the rest of the Norwegian participants / students / crew / bloodthirsty Vikings ready for a long yearned new raid on the Irish islands (it's been quite boring just staying home the last 1000 years..) arrives in Dublin the day before the first day of EASA (i.e. the 8th of August). So now we're looking for a - preferably cheap - place to stay the first night. Something that is close to where we are supposed to stay the nights in Dublin would also be nice.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Erlend.

Hello Norwegains,

We look forward to your arrival, and are far more prepared this time! You try sailing down in the Liffey again and our snipers on the roof of the Customs House will make minced meat out of you.

This is something a lot of people will want to know in the upcoming weeks. We would recommend you stay in the Avalon Hostel

This is located on George's street, and is about as central as you can get. Now, as some-one who lives in Dublin, I have never had to stay in this hostel, but it does have a good reputation as the place to stay, situated right next to series of deadly spots.

Until August - enjoy yourselves bitches - it's a celebration!

Snipers? What happened to Ye Olde Melee Combat?

Anyhows; thanks for the advice (especially the celebration part- it's summer!, it's vacation!, it's...raining cats and dogs as usual.).

Dia duit!
Are there more early birds like me? I'm arriving very early Friday morning, and that's 00:30. A total of two nights in a hostel!
Who's getting the Avalon?
Let's get busy.

www.couchsurfing.com

or else, drop the bags in the bus station lockers, and go out on the lash for the night, you´ll find a party easy enough, then about 6ish make your way to the markets area of the city, 5 minutes from bolton st ark school, now the "dublin school of architecture", head into hughes, or boers head or slatterys or walshes and enjoy the early morning pints, or the maddest gaf of them all, on little britain st, around corner from green st, and irelands only "early morning disco", pure madness....

by the way, im nearly sure that this is the bar where they have the drinking session in james joyce´s ulyses. where bloom rolls out and hops on a horse and carriage...

eitherway, have a buzz and enjoy the madness of it all.

Hello,
we are coming from Tirana on 8th, at 10:30 AM, which makes the chance to explore Dublin for 24 free hours.
Most likely we are booking at Abraham House (hostel) to leave our luggage, and sleep by night.
Please, let me know if there will be other Easa people at that place :-). It would be cool.
We will also hang around by the evening time, so anyone is invited to join :-).
