MeetingFood

from EasaLille,

Message for all easa NCs and their teams. « Meeting Food » is a workshop of food proposed within the framework of the EASA 2004, led by 2 professional cooks daily helped by 5 greedy students. One nation and 3 meals per day for 450 persons : a Gargantua like laboratory.

2 rushes a day, seven days a week...2 weeks long.

Easa 2004 will say no to junkfood and will propose a tasty food melting traditional european food, and french conviviality.

European cuisine used up “ à la métropolitaine”.

Participating students sent recipies from each contry ( an appetizing mail to the National Contacts). The chief will select flavours, preparations or only ingredients, for a meeting with local products.

Duties will cook, following their culture, their mood, to the feeling.

Making 11 700 meals and 5850 breakfasts in 13 days; about 5 tons of food... exept liquids!

So, Please send us recipies from your every day life or from the traditional grand’ma’cookbook (in english ; visuals are interresting too) like:

-2 cold back-packable dishes:salad, sandwich...fresh ideas are welcome, sushis are outlaw.

-2 “entremets”, first dishes: cold or hot (soup, pie...your country pizza style).

-2 hot courses.

-2 sweety “entremets”.

  • exentric soupçons are not to banish.

Remenber we are 450 hungry workers ; recipies have to be easy to cook even if we have no micro-waves. Think some of us are vegetarians.

Friendly,

Sylvain.
