Stuck some photos of letterfrack and the surrounding area into the EASA group on Flickr, for the curious! full story...
If the others are amazed, I'm totally Letterfracked (this is sooo gonna be a word in the new glossario:) What a great INCM experience. Once again. I am happy to see that we managed to take the energy and mentality from Brighton on to the future by a rather productive moscow meeting (without being as good morning-people as in brighton). This is gonna be a long letter... but heck, let's just start. I thank Inara for being such a good friend to us all, but also for being enough of a cool blooded business girl to get incm006 together. Russian seems to be a language that can perform miracles when spoken well. Everybody should know: so many things were still open on thursday and friday before the meeting started, so many people were not keeping their promises. All those people got either bitchslapped by Inara's wonderphone, smoothly seduced by Agnia's magicmobile or sandwiched between Elena's stereophonic speakersystem (she was armed with two of those nokia things day and night). My body is in holland, my mind still in Russia. Was talking to a riding train between Moscow and St. Petersburg yesterday for more than half an hour to surpress my after-incm depression and hear about how the discussion is going on, today I couldn't resist to do it again (thank god, alah and the like, for SkypeOut). Not just for a newsupdate, but also to put a new thing on the 'agenda': the registration of a new domain name for the future new and improved easa-website. A proposal which came through to me by a phonecall from Wouter who was discussing it with Simon on that very moment at the TUDelft faculty. They proposed to buy somthing like www.easa-network.org since easa.org is taken and .tk looks so cheap. The answer from St.Petersburg came back : easa.tk seems to be still ok for the future is the general opnion. But maybe more people want to react on this issue, please do so. What does this story proof? EASA might not be ON-A-PLANE yet, but is certainly very much ON AIR. Modern technology is just a tool of course, but let's hope it's something that makes the HUB-idea (which got accepted in moscow, dear friends) actually work. One week ago my future was very unclear, now it is just so perfectly simple: Elefsina 007, Istria 007, Letterfrack 008. I guess the moderating got me deeply connected with the holy spirit of easa. Finally I can say I believe in something. Haha, yeah, well, whatever:) Thanking everybody (again) for the great experience! Dazvidanya lyudi moye! Jurrien full story...
I am pretty astonished, amazed, overwhelmed (there are now words to express this) by a new EASA-Russian experience!! First I want to thank the entire Russian team who did a great job, I especially liked the food :p And special thanks to Inara who drove Jurrien and me around trough the city the first days, brought us everywhere we wanted, even to buy some new underwear because our luggage arrived two days later. In this second INCM for me, I really got into some topics and issues which I never thought of before and I want to keep this discussions going on! I am already working on the archive and we as the archive group will keep you up to date. Furthermore I want to write a proposal, how I would like to see what the program should look like from an INCM. This trying to make discussions shorter, more interesting and accurate, because I think it was a pity that the number of NC’s in the meetings became smaller and smaller after a couple of day’s. And what is consensus worth than?! Another thing was that I was a bit disappointed that we did not have the time to discuss more about the theme/concept for next year to give the terrific Greek team some more input to take home. But I think in general that we could have more architecture orientated topics on the agenda! You can see this as a prolongation of the discussions about the HUB which could have the a same influence, giving more time for other interesting issues. I hope some more people will think about it so we can even have a more productive and interesting INCM in Croatia and NC-meetings in Greece. Still recovering and getting back into normal live!
