Hi,

I was wondering what the plans are regards the EASA archives, and sorting through them at this EASA? I would be interested to get involved with this / work with this as we (UK) are proposing to host the INCM 2005, and a key part would be the exhibition of teh EASA past, current and future.

Are you proposing to host it as a workshop, or as duties? Perhaps we could organise it together?

Also perhaps email reminders to each NC should go out, to encourage them to source what's in their country now, and to bring it with them? Could this go in the French Bulletin?

Finally, I will probably be travelling to Lille for EASA from Denmark, so we should stay in touch for that at least.

Ok, hope you are all well! Lucy UK_NC

Hi, I'ven been sorting the Copenhagen archive out during the spring, and I will go through it all before this easa, so that i know what material we might be missing, so that people don't bring 10 copies of the same final report, (that we already have in Copenhagen) to Roubaix. I'm not sure however how to continue the work, cause it would be quite hard for us to carry all the other countries saved material with us back from france. (And for them to bring it to France?, of course it depends on the ammount of material...) Isn't it somehow a good idea that the different easa-countries keep some of their own archive, but that we from now on concentrate it to Copenhagen?

Perhaps it would be a good idea to turn some of it into digital material, and then to publish it on the easa.tk? The archive doesn't make curious people happy, if it's just locked into our office in Copenhagen.

I would be happy to discuss the matter further with those of you who are interested, and investigate possibilities for doing a workshop/archive-day etc. in Roubaix!

Hope your doing well, I'm fine, the sun is shining and I'm getting a lot of interested applicants for this summer's EASA!

See you Marja nc_dk

salut all With Greg the webmaster of EASA2004 , in charge of archive for next summer web@easa2004.com

we plan to set a small librairy completed by an archives librairy The idea is to organise a archive scanning duties together with a librairy keeping duties

there is still lot to think for this matter which space in La Condition Publique? which computer?

together with Greg, he will see what respond we can have about thoses small problem we all pose maybe we could do a web database inventory? etc....

happy thursday busy jerome

1-day workshop part 2

Textile is one of the themes of the EASA'004? I'm thinking about something like ultra-short "fashion" workshop. It'll be fine expirience for a small teams or everyone who wants to take part... For example: In the morning every team or individual participant obtains a shit of fabric. Size and color are the same for all... What clothes can they design & create till evening? All models will be demonstrated on the "fashion show" in the evening... Anyone intrested in this idea?

"EASA will be a political experience" says monsieur albatros

EASA04 is looking great lads loved the intro piece "new micropolis"

"EASA is a a summer republic..... this year EASA will be a political experience"

this MAYDAY sees the accession of the new member states to the EU WHAT TYPE OF EU are we building?

been busy here in ireland- putting on an :: indymedia festival :: exhibition (open participitave system), workshops, screenings, forums

we are making a media centre for the week leading up to mayday, 10 days, from Friday April 23rd, until Monday May 3rd

Ireland is hosting the "day of welcomes" for the accession of new member states to the EU there is lots of media hype here at the arrival of anarchists to destroy the city

as Daithí Doolan, Sinn Féin representative for Dublin South East puts it clearly:

"People have suggested it is a protest against expansion, against letting in the new countries. On the contrary, we support expansion, but we, new member states and old, need to have a debate about the kind of EU that we are building

believes another Europe is possible. One where 55 million men, women and Children are not living in poverty, where vital public services are not open to privatisation and where the ongoing militarisation of the EU and erosion of Irish neutrality is halted, and reversed. People accuse us of being anti-EU, when in fact we're simply opposed to a Europe written on terms dictated by big business and corporate lobbyists"

but like all things communication is the key

One Step Further

We have been very busy working to bring up the architecture’s new multimedia site for one year with the intention that EASA would be really a ‘practical network for communication, meeting and exchange’ (see easaguide, versicle 2, Aims :) by using the new “tools”. It is turning out to be more difficult than expected initially, but finally we have found the good contacts in our school. We hope that this would be only the first step in a way to widen our vision.

Some of you had the chance to see the project when at Kalo we presented the first sketches and when at INCM we showed it to those who where interested. Finally, this will be the site: www.arkforum.org (but until we are able to solve some technical problems with the server it will be hosted here, www.arq.upv.es )

Here you can find more information, sketches... Right now it is development, but we hope than in 2 or 3 months time it can be completed, meanwhile the page will be tested, without your help this page wouldn’t be possible. For the time being, any suggestion, doubt, or criticism will be welcome.

Secondly, we have had some problems making free the access to the ftp, but at last its working, however we don’t know until when. Here you will find lots of photos from the INCM and more stuff…. Better late than never. www.arq.upv.es

Love, Noel
