Hey guys! What's up? As it was agreed in Moscow (and even a bit earlier than that), the Suisse exhibition was supposed to come from Romania to Macedonia and then from here to go to Turkey. Since there was no NC nor any representative from Romania at the INCM, I wrote an e-mail to Mirona to arrange the transfer of the posters and all that. I still haven't got any answer (don't know if the address is no longer in use or what) so I thought to write it here and hope that someone can help about the situation. I would really like to have the exhibition here in Skopje and Alper also wants it in Istanbul, so let's keep it moving instead of staying at one place! Greetings from spring_like Macedonia, Nevenka full story... i haven't been around since long. how far is the greek website from being published? was there already a midterm nc gathering ? please, can someone send me a brief update refering this years topic. (michael(at)baustall(dot)org) i contemplate giving a lecture together with some mates from germany. thanks a lot, michael edit Spam-protection full story...
I found on the www.ryanair.com, that they offer a lot of tickets for 0.01 euro. It was a must to buy one, this way I'm sailing in Barcelona from 24th of February to 7th of March, so see you around guys! The ticket was for 40 euros with all the taxes. full story...
Strange things can happen also on peaceful and sunny Saturday afternoons. For instance, you might be wandering the streets of Rotterdam with some people, decide to go to an exhibition and retrieve your long-lost believe in modern art. The guy who did it is Brian Jungen. The reason: finally some modern conceptual abstract stuff combined with real craftsmanship, meaning and sense, without the works being only appreciable because of its critical contents. Anybody who happens to be in Rotterdam anytime soon should have a peek in Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, anybody else should look out for upcoming exhibitions by this guy anywere else. I would like to start a thread to see some off the results when architecture GOES BAD! A couple of months ago, some sort of mutant, hideous building appeared from behind its green shroud in Dublin City centre. The city architects heralded it as a 'landmark' development. It is sited beside one of Dublin's most important building. But not only is this building absolutly disastrous, the 'public plaza' created beside it is worse. how can such a high profile firm like MBM arquitectes get it so wrong? Are the architects to fault for a system that allows input from politicians and planners that (in Ireland anyway) really dont have a fucking clue what good architecture is. The initial planning application image The actual building 'alot bigger' than it should be Dont you just love those stainless steel nub detail. Skateboarding is not a crime, integrate it into the fucking design, and dont stick these nubs on as an afterthoughtI wish I could cut in it half like Matta-Clark Discussion on; www.archiseek.com full story...
