this was posted by duncan, I just made a new story - open for comments just back 2 days from EASA in samogor, vis, croatia and it was brilliant, ZAKUN i am concerned about a few things about EASA. I think it does a great thing but i think it could and should do more COMMUNICATION- this was my first EASA, even though i have been in college for a few years. i missed out on lots of stuff over the last few years. EASA should communicate to lost countries and schools, either through the main body or N.C`s ongoing EASA. at present EASA is an event which happens for 2 weeks every year. that is great. After the event communication happens between people via email, letters, meeting up. we are a COMMUNITY. why can we not work and live as an online COMMUNITY all the time, whereby events and workshops happen during the year and we use the web as the communication interface. then we come and meet for the 2 weeks and have the amazing workshop event which is now what EASA is. a system like this is possible and i believe would hugely improve things. in EASA 2002 i was involved in the NETWORK workshop. we addressed these things and created the "samogor art gallery" as a centre point, hub, nucleus, heart of samogor where people could meet, communicate, do and see art, information could be exchanged, sunbrella articles read, a place to celebrate, have parties. and all else. we have made a prototype website, a virtual "samogor art gallery". we hope it can do the same things as its real version. mainly allow for discussion, communication, interaction, a place to see and do. we feel EASA could benefit from this system hugely and we would encourage everyone to spread word, encourage communication and communicate. If this happens EASA can only grow as a community and in time be able to address the real problems in this world and possibly find or create solutions. We explore and work toward the ideal of a FUN SUSTAINABLE PEACEFUL EXISTENCE comment this story:
