travelling

interesting for everybody: there are cheap night trains to switzerland from several destinations. starting from...

amsterdam - utrecht - düsseldorf dortmund - essen hamburg - bremen - münster berlin - hannover - frankfurt dresden - leipzig - weimar vienna - salzburg you can use city night line that offers seats from 29.-- euros (independent from starting point), beds for 45.-- euros, online booking possible. check out www.citynightline.ch!!!

for south east destinations, the national railways have found a similar way of collaboration, so trains from budapest, zagreb, and i think ljubljana too (is it all the same price?) offer places for the same price. no online booking though.

there is a limited number of seats per train for this price, so early booking is necessary. go and ask for it at your railway station. the offer is called "SparNight" in german ("SavingNight"), no idea about other languages... arriving in zurich by train, it is just 5 minutes walking distance from the station to the domicile where we spend our first night.

good luck! flo_ch

arriving by car....

hi people!!!

we already got applications from 233 of you and it's really cool to see that the whole thing is getting REAL!

there is just one thing i wanted to tell you:

many of you are arriving already Saturday by car in Zürich. I just want to inform you that if you come by car you probably wont be able to travel with our SPECIAL TRAIN because it's impossible to leave your car (so far there are about 30 cars...) in Zürich for two weeks. There will be no problem to leave the car in Bergün...and of course we will do the best for you to find the way up there!!

so see you soon....(i can't believe that it's already in 3 months!!!) eliza

about the applications

  1. for extra places: send a mail, preferably with the subject "(your country)_extra places", saying: "hi, i'd like to apply for X extra places for (your country)". that's all. please send it to APPLICATION@EASA005.CH as we have recieved more than a third of your application forms on the organiser adress. it is a bit annoying to forward everything to the right place. countries that have already sent their request for extra places don't have to resend it.

  2. the following countries have sent their applications: austria, belgium (2 more places waiting), bosnia&herzegovina (3), croatia, cyprus, czech republic, denmark, finland, georgia, germany (2), greece, hungary, ireland (4), italy, latvia, lithuania, malta (5), netherlands, norway, portugal, russia, serbia&montenegro, slovenia, sweden, turkey, uk, us (5) and france (right now :-D)

  3. the following countries have asked to keep their places for a later date: poland, spain, latin america and switzerland :-D

  4. these are countries with no news so far. PLEASE, SEND YOUR APPLICATIONS, ALBANIA, ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS, BULGARIA, ESTONIA, ICELAND, MACEDONIA, MOLDOVA, ROMANIA, SLOVAKIA, UKRAINE. furthermore, we are trying to invite a couple of guests from israel and palestina. so far, we have received one israeli workshop proposal which is a great pleasure!

i hope that's all correct. otherwise let me know, please. if you have sent your applications already, but you're not on the list, please resend them cause they haven't arrived! thanks. it's very beautiful to get your applications, your names and sometimes even faces already. that makes the blood thing so real!

bye bye, flo_ch

news

hello everybody!

some good news, concerning website updates and communication issues:

  1. banking details online: in the section "banking details" of our website, you can find any necessary information how to pay your fees. please wait before paying, we will send you a mail with the confirmation of the amount and number of places you are paying for.

  2. post adress and office phone/fax: for any letter bombs or similar stuff, you find the mail adress in the "contacts" section, of course it contains phone and fax number of the office/headquarters.

  3. bulletin 1!!! the first bulletin, addition to the tutorpack and so to our education, is online. it contains a couple of graphics, so it's too heavy to send it out, but you can download it from the web: "theme > bulletins > bulletin1". if you want some more good news about the competition, pavilion preparations and other important things, download it!

  4. today, we have carried 5 tons of beautiful earth-brown bricks from an exhibition. if that's inspiring you for a workshop, let us know! so that's the portion of today. and don't forget to download the bulletin!

  5. very general: please check to which adress you send things we get. there's just a few adresses indicated on the website in "contacts". forwarding is easy for us, but the more steps the message takes to get to the right place, the bigger the possibility of getting into a mess. the biggest problem is that if i forward a message from... let's say organiser to application, a direct reply ends up at organiser again, so we have to keep mailing back and forth to send stuff to the right place. would be great if you'd help us in that question (no apologies from anybody for that, please :-)).

!!!LESS THAN 3 MONTHS LEFT!!!
