exhibition posters INCM007

To all NC's and others: As we already said, inspired by last year success of INCM Moscow schools of architecture exhibition, and hard work of all the people hosting it after Moscow, plus the impact it had and has for promotion of Easa we decided to make it annual. At least we'll try by making it again this year. We got funding, especially for exhibition, from Croatian Chambers of Architects, and of course to our sponsors and teachers it's really interesting. Also we think that, because it's gonna be connected to the easa008 theme, it can be a great promotion for theme, as among NC's who will, by making the poster get more aware and interested to it, also to future visitors of exhibition (possibly new easa people) in all countries that will possibly host it, and we know there's gonna be a lot interested.

So what we want from you is:

on the A1 file we'll send, we'd like you to make a poster of students or diploma projects connected to ADAPTATION. So any mean of adaptation, in programmatic, structural, physical or territorial etc. aspect... Just browse through the works of your colleges, yours, or, if you can, ask the teachers in your school to suggest some good diploma or student projects that are connected to this theme. We think adaptation is nowadays, very much present in lot of architectural and urbanistic projects so you want have any problems doing it. And it will again give interesting intersection of work of european architectural schools. Read the booklet that irish organizers gave us in Elefsina, and get inspired.

If you have any question just ask!

Also, as from some countries there are more than one school coming to EASA and INCM, than, of course, every school should have their own poster.

I hope all is clear, and you will manage to do it.

deadline for posters is 07.10.2007., so you have 3 weeks, which is, i guess, more than enough.

Make your school, yourselves and your colleges proud :) and give your view of adaptation, so we give good theme reviews to irish crew and ourselves on INCM Motovun.

To all the NC's not attending this years INCM: it doesn't mean you don't have to make the poster, you are very very very welcome (so we can at least have you there in spirit :>)

And also, to all new NC's please ask your older NC's to help you, if they are more aware and connected to older students, or are just soooooo clever that their wisdom and knowledge will help you to make this poster as good as it can be!

tnx a lot!

If u have some questions just contact us.

poster can feature: 3d's, models, plans, sections, pictures, or whatever you think can show the projects or projects you wanna present. also, it can be one, two or more projects. poster should also feature short description of the projects: who made it, what is the function, location and other... come on, you are architects, be creative! :):)

tnx in advance

INCM007 team_ Ana, Iva and Ivan

2months to go! gulp....

Hy guys, sorry for not replying on your „how to get there“ questions, but cro team was scattered along the coastline for one last swim before the big project called : organize an incm, pass few big exams and make your diploma before christmas! ( I just hope some stress that will come out of it will attack and destroy all the fat mistiriously wrapped around my body in last few years. We'll see.)
So, we're back in Zagreb (me and Ana, Iva is still enjoying beaches of Vis tc tc tc...) and are on our computers, ready to answer your questions. We made official e_mail for incm issues and its_

incm007(at)gmail(dot)com . So shoot...

I browsed a bit through getting here by plane options,(although ana was faster) airports i suggest you to fly in are : Pula, Rijeka, Venice, Trieste and Ljubljana, also Zagreb of course. Split is also an option if u are prepared to take another 5-7 hour drive along the coastline to get to Rijeka, and than another bus to Motovun. A bit complicated...Dubrovnik is out of the question, unless you wanna visit it before coming to Motovun, than its defenitly worth it. More details will come soon. Concernig the „are there any busses from Rijeka airport to the city“ questions,: i don't know, will have to get u back on that one. So here they are:
London - Zagreb (Wizzair), London – Pula (Ryanair), London - Split (Easyjet), London - Ljubljana (Easyjet), London – Trieste/Venice/Maribor (Ryanair), Brussels – Ljubljana (Wizzair),
Brussels – Split (Jetair fly), Copenhagen – Split (Sterling), Oslo – Pula (Norwegian air), Dublin – Pula (Ryanair)
Stuttgart – Rijeka (TUIfly),
Stuttgart – Zagreb (Germanwings),
Munich - Rijeka(TUIfly),
Cologne – Rijeka (TUIfly),
Cologne- Zagreb (Germanwings), and Stockholm, Paris, Prague, Barcelona, Dublin, Brussels – Venice (Ryanair)

Another thing: on the presentation day in Elefsina we asked NC's to come and update the NC list with the names and emails of new NC's, or possible changes, and we didn't get updates from (lot of you) : Albania, Azerbejan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech, Dk, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine so please send e-mails+mobile phone number + school + city on incm007(at)gmail(dot)com if your countries NC or some of your info has changed.

Visas! For countries that need visas we will try to make invitation letters as soon as possible so you can get your visas on time, those are: Albania,Armenia, Azerbejan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine. Maybe i forgott somebody, i have to check...Keep in contact .

When all the croatians return to Zagreb we'll upload some photos on flickr or somewhere (i haven't got a lot of them due to this years tutor roll....) but Iskra, Ivana, Miro and others did, so photos are coming soon... hugs from Zagreb, C U in 2 moths (!““#!#!?!!oh my gosh, it's so soon!““#!#!?!!)

+++ @ theGreek organizers and/or Irish boys: in the fuzz of last days wkshp presentations and burning the dvd's for participants i kind of forgot to burn the movie we made for Incm007Motovun , and i burned it for you together with the rest of the presentation, so if its not too big could you send it too us or upload it somewhere, we'd really like to have it! :) tnx a lot!

Ivan... the dino with semi-beard...

the dates?

ok, i have one important thing to discuss with all of you! and it would really be supernice if the answer in the end would be YES :)! concerning the INCM007 Croatia... well, i know it stands written in the EASAguide "the INCM is held every year in November" and it has been like that in last few years, but if we could ignore that little sentence just this one time and do it in october 2007. :) can we? the situation is:

  1. october would be much better because november is in the middle of semester and students eager to help would be much more busier as well as the teachers wiling to give a lecture or tutor possible workshop. for all those not informed Motovun, the little town where we plan to host Incm, is around 300 km far from Zagreb, so we are in completly another part of the country. so all the organizing team will have to be there for all 7days, we want have the oportunity of some people being there to help for just an hour or two, or dropping by every other day, like it was in moscow, ljubljana, belgrade and even brighton... so having it before helps us having much more people, and teachers willing to help or participate.

  2. the facilities that we will be using are not heated so the professor from our uni who is in charge of it says we could have heating problem (although it could be solved, but would need much more money and sponsors) and is pressing us to make it before if possible...

  3. and one more thing: ana and me, 2 out of 3 main organizers, are gonna be doing our diploma then, and concerning our deadline, which is the middle of december, we would really have to have clear november for doing it and having INCM in october would be so much less stress. if it was held in zagreb we could have more helpers and making us less responsible, havin much more free time, but as mentioned before its in Motovun.

i really hope you see the problems and i hope this want be the issue, and you will understand our need to move the dates of incm, and have it from 15.10-21.10. 2007 or 22.10. - 28.10. 2007. For us the first dates are better but i wanna know your reaction and does it make any difference except beeing "against" the guide. i appologize for not discussing all this in Moscow, but as you all know, we decided to have the INCM in last second, and we werent aware of all these problems.

anyway, we are really totally involved in preparation for it, having lots of good ideas to make it A GOOD and productive INCM with posible workshop. the exhibition of Moscow+easa005 posters is after budapest and belgrade coming to cro on 24th of february and thats when we will present easa007 competition for participants and INCM007 croatia,., hopefully for october..

please, i wanna hear your reacitons, and hopefully get a a concenssus on it.. we promisse a great incm

hugs from cro ana, iva and ivan

my dear guests!

so its oficial, INCM2007 Motovun/Istria/Croatia tnx u all to the positive energy and enthusiasm given in Moscow (especially the irish team), we already have so many ideas and good will! we only need the $ now, and its a go! as ana and everybody already said BIIIIIIIIG tnx to russsian girls for everything, it was a blast, we're gonna need some advices!
tnx dubravka for pre-mentioning the film festival, but that's one of the main reasons we chose motovun - being a small town hosting a huge film festival every year, motovun has to adapt to the needs and behaviour of few thousand people attending it! so isn't that the perfect model for leterfrack scenario introduction! You will hear about it a lot more in the future and on presentation in elafsina!
we will keep you informed with how things are going, and anni I am sending you the minutes in a day!
Big hugs to everybody… and dear guest, keep up with the good work, especially HUBbits!
Cheers www.istrianet.org www.motovunfilmfestival.com
