new process project @ WSFjanuary04- an EASA experiment?

more interaction and communication between EASA and other groups will lead to us all learning more from each other, having more fun, and ultimately improving the architectural state of society and the planet. proposal= global indymedia webconference project of the world social forum which is happening in january in mumbai in india. setting up new architectural spaces: local node is part of global interactive network

social forum and indymedia are the 2 major, open, non hierarchial processes which are changing the world in a fundamentally new way. it is possible for the 150 or so already existing indymedia nodes to work on a global project together, whereby live webstreams can be set up so that those of us who want to go to mumbai but physically cant, can still participate in the process; we come together in the virtual world as one interconnected network. using the real and the virtual together there have been 2 previous world social forums over the last 3 years, both in porto alegro in brazil the upcoming WSF is on 16- 21st of january

3000 years ago philosophers and other people interested in life came together in the agora in athens, from that western civilisation developed. the next step in world history is happening, it is the network age

it is the most exciting time to be invovled in art, architecture, politics, culture

i hope this proposal generates some architectural debate amongst us

In music composition you may operate with certain parameters such as density, pitch / frequency, texture, duration, transparency, opacity, collision, collapse, intensity, flow/movement, rhythm, volume, timbre - dynamics - contents of a spatial narration.

Tao G. Vrhovec Sambolec showed some examples in Ljubljana (some stimulating spatial experience/awareness/appearance). For instance we heard sound/noise, simultaneously followed by 2D transcriptions of some parameters.

To make music you either work directly with these parameters, graphically, as in electronic generation of sound, or more indirectly, as in any manipulation of some musical 'sketch' / notation.

Architecture operates with similar parameters, at least in architectural description of projects / buildings, often with intuitively based transcriptions, from space/drawing to text. For instance: We talk about 'flow' without communicating the character of it. Transcriptions through parameters may assist this communication, and even make it possible to generate architectural space from transcriptions - in the first place.

tomorrow i m on my way to lille for a short trip, only few days i ll stay there. i anouncing it, because there might be some wishes or questions on the site, the program, or whatever. i.e. special infos for people, who thinks about providing workshops and have special wishes concerning infos about given possibilities and elsewhat.
