Everything goes well, but (I hope, you have an eye on the european politics) we'll have a president election in Belarus on the 19 of March. It'll cause some delay, as that one whith the competition. Please, be patient! full story...
I've some problems with the SESAM Makedonia site, but, as far as I'm somewhat interested to be a tutor... 1)Can't load an application page. What's up? 2)Tuition fee: 50 euros. Does it exactly mean fee for tutors? Sounds not very good, especially for those tutors from Eastern Europe (me too). Also, there is no Belarus in the list... 3)Tutorpack is very poor. No city map, no recources, no lection themes... are you fucused on a theory or 1:1 scale building? 4)How many participants do you have? From which countries? If you want, you can answer by e-mail: gzaborski@yahoo.com full story...
A bit late, but anyway. I've been busy organizing a conference (Architectural theory) in Delft which will take place on the 16th and 17th of March (yes, next week). It promises to be an impressive event, and even if you can't come we've set up a live video stream so all you guys can follow all the lectures and discussion if you'd like. please check www.projectivelandscape.nl our speakers are: an Allen (special apperance) Robert Somol Sarah Whiting Michael Speaks Roemer van Toorn Kamiel Klaasse Reinhold Martin Peter Trummer Nikolaus Kuhnert Diane Ghirardo Hans van Dijk Ole W. Fischer Wouter Vanstiphout Willem-Jan Neutelings Naomi Stead Lara Schrijver M. Christine Boyer Arie Graafland K. Michael Hays in short the conference is about this: The Projective Landscape Stylos Conference wants to research and explore the similarities between a few -at first sight- seemingly diverse developments within the architecture debate taking place in Europe and the United States. These developments appear to offer a fruitful strategy for architecture in the 21st century. Because this specific debate is very scattered, the conference aims to map and clarify these different developments and hopes to come to a clearer formulation of what now is being referred to as projective practice. By which we mean an architecture that is engaged with the reality of the society in which it is embedded, but focuses on its own discipline instead of looking for legitimatization of its practice in just societal criticism or in disciplines outside itself like sociology and philosophy. cyaround, best edwin full story...
Ive been browing the web and came across the EAAE(European Association for Architectural Education), an international non-profit association committed to the exchange of ideas and people within the field of architectural education and research. As far as I cold gather the heads of schools of architecture from all over europe meet on a similar basis to EASA. www.eaae.be Has anyone from past EASAs tried to contact this association? They might prove to be benificial as regards how to receive grants, etc. Another one I came across is the Architects Council of Europe, and The Architects' Council of Central and Eastern Europe under the UIA. www.uia-architectes.org The ACE was founded in 1990 and its principal function is to monitor and influence developments at EU level highlighting those areas of EU Policy that have a direct impact on architectural practice, policy and the built environment. full story...
![]() ![]() A similar garden happened on the South side of the city in Dolphins Barn and it has become a hugely successful project with many people from the area participating in growing their own food, re-establishing community, enjoying the fruits of their labour. That garden will be a year old in April. Things are in their early stages and having done the initial ground work the team are now engaging with the wider community of Phibsborogh, Glasnevin, Cabra and beyond. so if you are interested email us or pop down on the weekend.

Hello easeans. We've been making an inventory of our archive in copenhagen. And we also scanned the covers and a few pages of each final report from the archive + the full final report of the 1st easa in Liverpool and the firsteasa guide from the INCM '91 held in Berlin. We'll send out a excel-file of the inventory, so that you can contact us if you have any reqeusts from the inventory, we'll scan themand send them. But as you know scanning is a terrible time-consuming job; hence the whole archive hasn't been scanned, but might over time. So what we want to discuss now is how to collect and handle the archive in a digital format (as pdf's jpgs or other format / chronolical, matter of content etc.) we started some discussion in Brighton, and now we'd also like to hear from all the blog-users. ![]() ![]() later dawgs kalle and pernille of Copenhagen full story...
