The dust settles...

Dear All - those who made Brighton happen, those otherwise engaged and to all other online EASAians.

Thanks for coming, wanting to come and being interested in the proceedings - we made it through a busy week, all in one piece - the final hurdle being a very steep staircase at our closing party!

Some thought we didn't have a proper chance to say 'good-bye' but who needs to when we've a lively weblog!?

I've checked my flat for stray Belgiums and believe there's only the odd EASAian wandering the streets of LDN.

Now back at work, it all seems like a dream.

I shall post details of the places visited, when I've the chance, please bear with me while I catch up on my beauty sleep...

Good to see healthy comment on INCM meetings!

Back shortly;

Jim UK NC

I am at home now, was thinking about it on a way back... it was such an overwhelming experience, and i enjoyed every minute of it...

once again thank you all,

hope to see you soon, somewhere...

english fireworks night!

3 DAYS!!! CAN"T WAIT!!!

SATURDAY>BRIGHTON>FIREWORKS!>!?

saturday 5th is fireworks night so i'm sure jim is planning something for london but if any one feels like making it down to brighton there is an absolutely gigantic (very large) fireworks festival in a town called Lewes half hour out of brighton.

i've never been but i've heard it's amazing, the only problem being getting back after it has finished is very difficult. here is a website to give you some information, www.needananswer.co.uk/lewes-fireworks-2005.html

the hotel will probably hold your bags for the night and I can put up a handful of people on my floor!

i do not know if i am going to go to lewes yet but if u r coming down to brighton on saturday (the train is quicker than on sundays) then feel free to email me and i can give you my mobile number.

love Simon. simon_kinneir@hotmail.com

well the weather has started to become wet now with bursts of sunlight gracing the sky every so often.

i thought i would give you some sites to interest u in what's on whilst ur here, i don't use them myself but looking now i see things which i didn't know!

www.whatson.brighton.co.uk/

the best venues being: concorde2 brighton centre the dome komedia

shit nightclubs are about £3-5 entrance proper gigs - bands - are £10-15 and need buying in advance

if you check the different sites you can see during that week there's going to be tracy chapman, franz ferdinand, the skatalites, amongst some fun student nights no doubt..

beer is £2.50 a pint, same as london basically, and more if you are in a club late.

www.tru-thoughts.co.uk is a brighton music label with a real nice mix of stuff hip hop to newjazz

looking forward to whats going to be a fantastic, fast and fun week! any questions about the city and i'll try my best.
