our new semester with kees christiaanse will deal with the development of split. therefore, i expect fireworks of information on this medium here :-)
i definitely think many of you have had projects in this fantastic place, so i'd be very happy to share some of these. besides that, useful links about the city and maybe a few hints where to go at night would be great.
and above all, the greatest thing would be to meet some of you there or at least on the way there. we are leaving from zurich on saturday 28th and leave again on the 2nd. otherwise no further info till wednesday.
found that site today and thought it could be nice to visualize where our readers (the silent and the not so silent ones) are based ...
Feel free to add yourself ;-)
After more than one year´s work we have almost finished the Arkforum project (We must resolve small details during this next weeks). We would have liked to report during the process, but the process has been unstable and many times in jeopardy by technical and support problems. Easa Spain believes it better to focus our effort in this process rather than dedicating it in organizing some easa event, and this is the result.
Arkforum was born with a clear and intuitive scheme intending to make this new tool improve and expand the EASA horizons. The presence of CLEA and similar organizations in the future will enrich us mutually. Sharing a space while maintaining our independence will facilitate the communication and the exchange
The website is organized in such a way that can be easily updated from any computer with basic knowledge. The idea is, and thus will be suggested during the INCM, to establish an international cooperation for the maintenance and updating of the website contents. This way during two years sections of both organizations will work together (Nederland – Chile, México-Croatia…). Untill INCM 2005; Easa Spain will take care of the updating and the optimization of the website. Also it will be necessary to establish some moderators for the forum (I propose those of the weblog). Ester will be in charge of working out any problems or doubts you might face.
My relation with Easa finishes here; I hope to see you again some day. Take care & Enjoy Belgrade. Now is your turn…

We have been very busy working to bring up the architecture’s new multimedia site for one year with the intention that EASA would be really a ‘practical network for communication, meeting and exchange’ (see easaguide, versicle 2, Aims :) by using the new “tools”. It is turning out to be more difficult than expected initially, but finally we have found the good contacts in our school. We hope that this would be only the first step in a way to widen our vision.
Some of you had the chance to see the project when at Kalo we presented the first sketches and when at INCM we showed it to those who where interested. Finally, this will be the site: www.arkforum.org (but until we are able to solve some technical problems with the server it will be hosted here, www.arq.upv.es )
Here you can find more information, sketches... Right now it is development, but we hope than in 2 or 3 months time it can be completed, meanwhile the page will be tested, without your help this page wouldn’t be possible. For the time being, any suggestion, doubt, or criticism will be welcome.
Secondly, we have had some problems making free the access to the ftp, but at last its working, however we don’t know until when. Here you will find lots of photos from the INCM and more stuff…. Better late than never. www.arq.upv.es
I d like to advert the new web page that I have prepared with my friends because of the Cyprus issue prosedure. It hasnt been finished, besides we are going to add many things very soon.
If you had any sugessions we are open to any idea.
MM interview with Don foresta
(involved with www.mmmarcel.org - MARCEL network)
MM: At the end, any message or final thought you have for EASA people?
DF: I think that the thing that makes sense of EASA is to become a network. And not just to meet once a year, but to come up with some kind of a sustainable program, during the course of the year, and the best and easiest way to do that is just to go network, and make sure that the participants just don’t all disappear, and to find some way of staying in touch and working together. But it has to be more than e-mail. It really has to be an extension of visual space and a high bandwidth network permits that. It would make a perfect sense to me to see this kind of organization move into that direction. So, that becomes, not just the summer workshop, but nearly a whole year workshop. And then, the summer is the chance for people to actually meet physically, that’s essential. When you meet physically then you can go work on the network. That, probably, would be a good goal.
first of all: thanks to sarhat and ana for their very, very clear statements about war business (shouldn't it be called business, nowadays???).
now something nice, as a little break: thanks to easa-valencia for their beautiful exhibition. we printed it out and pinned it up in front of the main audition hall of our school. just a nice little example how the easa-network... works. let's get bigger.
and I recommend the spanish exhibition to everybody for advertising-purposes at their schools!!! check it out, ask noel.
