Good bye and afterword

Yes, I'm quit, Brighton was my last INCM, France 2004 probably my last-second summer school. It was very nice to see some “dinosaur” :) and so many new face and BIG THANKS to organisers to do it in such fancy city as Brighton :) In afterword i would like to say few things: we was talking about problems such as event financing-funding, establish archives, establish base for easa office etc. it's all about changes. Changes in easa means braking tradition[not only, but mainly], but what is this tradition and where is root of it? Just some of "dinosaur" know!?! Is this tradition wasn't create in small group of people long time ago? Discussion and not vote was working between few people, but now it dosn't work properly between ~80 person. And why we need to talk more than 3 h when in end decision dependent on trust of organisers. And new invention of Jerome to push out potential organisers, gives wonderfully possibility to say something dirty about country or organisers and to people who are outside to wait for positive or negative answer, to feel loser or winner is bigger chance then from vote. Not all of as are grate orator to make influence. This all is not about YOU, but about changes and building organisation. No request for answer, this is just my opinion. I discover one big and very important thing for me, first easa is THE BEST EASA* and don't try to repeat, it will never be the same[by personal and friends experience].

P.S. Sorry about so negative opinion, but this is how i feel and why i leave. *- 2002, Croatia, Vis.

Best regards. Carl in time when we all wait for summarised report, lets fall in memory of good old time UK INCM 2005 pic

Big THANKS to all of you who came and participated, because it wouldn't be what it was without you.

Special THANKS to Simon for being there and for doing all he did...

I am at home now, was thinking about it on a way back... it was such an overwhelming experience, and i enjoyed every minute of it...

Envy, envy, envy

I have been more or less deliberately avoiding this site for a while, since I knew, but didn't want to admit to myself, that it would be difficult for me to come through to Brighton. And here I am, in Glasgow, not very far away, working and not being able to get the time off to see you all! It is sad, it is bad, and I wish you all a really good last INCM weekend in Brighton. Drink some booze and do some partying for me and I'll think of you on my "staff night out" on Friday. x x x Marja

what to bring to brighton

hey people! following: skype chat between rune and lewis, clearing up a few points (at least for me)

[02:06:01] rune boserup siger : hmmmm, iiiinteresting. btw, i just finished reading your long email about the theme. but i'm not sure i quite understand what it is you would like us to bring?

[02:06:20] rune boserup siger : an a4 page interpreting.. what?

[02:06:24] Lewis Kinneir siger : 1 A4 sheet of paper

[02:06:46] Lewis Kinneir siger : interpreting the text on the good life questioning the definition of pavilion

[02:08:08] Lewis Kinneir siger : urm . . . . like a sketch

[02:08:14] rune boserup siger : and how will these a4 pages be used? as a basis for discussion and further work? does that mean, that everyone will have to read 50 pages of text from other people, when in brighton?

[02:08:29] Lewis Kinneir siger : no n on n nno ononnonnno

[02:08:30] Lewis Kinneir siger : NO

[02:08:33] rune boserup siger : phew

[02:08:39] Lewis Kinneir siger : they will not be words

[02:08:44] Lewis Kinneir siger : drawings, sketch's

[02:08:52] rune boserup siger : aaaaaaaaaaaaHA

[02:08:55] Lewis Kinneir siger : we will produce an un edited sketch book

[02:10:23] Lewis Kinneir siger : which the univeristy will bind and then be the first final report bar the swiss one for a while - look at it as a kinda catalyst

[02:11:04] rune boserup siger : ok, that's not how i interpreted the brief... all of a sudden it seems more accessible! maybe you should stress this on the blog. afterall, there was a lot of information to get through in that email, especially for visual/illiteral people like me (+probably other architects)

[02:11:23] rune boserup siger : cool, i like that. good idea.

[02:11:44] Lewis Kinneir siger : huh . . . gotya . . . . well maybe you could "start spreading the word"

[02:12:51] rune boserup siger : okie. i'll write something on the blog.
